I have a swollen, painful spot on the roof of my mouth. It’s been there about two days. What is it?
It appeared two days ago, it’s very tender and it’s a throbbing, constant pain to one little spot, about a centimeter wide. It feels raw, like a blister, but I haven’t ingested anything super hot to cause it, and it’s swollen, about the size of an eraser. Help! Also, I smoke infrequently, like 1 cigarette every two days and socially drink if that makes a difference.
An ulcer, quite possibly. Though 1 cm in diameter!!! Wow! It’s pretty big, but an ulcer is probably what it is. Kenalog is probably the best thing out there to fix it – but you have to get it ‘over the counter’ at a pharmacy. No script, but they just don’t stock in on their shelves open to the public 
. Hope it stops hurting!
