How can I update/cover a large glass pendant light (non-permanent) without replacing it?
I live in a rental, but have been making temporary updates to the place to make it more personal, because I plan to be here a while. The pendant itself is glass (no color), with a sort of pleated pattern. The chain and plate that it hangs from is brass. It is VERY outdated and ugly. Normally with an ugly shade, I would just cover it in a fabric I loved, but since this i glass, I am unsure if this would be safe. I thought of possibly making a metal cylindrical cover for it, but I am unsure what materials I would need and how I would hang it. Any ideas?
You could take the glass off and spray paint it any color you want. You would just need to scrub the paint off with dishwashing liquid ,hot water and a toothbrush when you are ready to leave. You could also cover it with colored tissue paper and elmers glue and wash it again when you are ready to leave. Hot glue some fringe from the craft store.
