Can I hang a Ceiling Fan or larger based flushmount light where a chandelier was hung?
I would like to replace a basic, 5 light, brass chandelier with either a light/fan combination or a flush or semi-flush mounted light. 2 questions… can I replace it with the fan without any re-wiring? Or, if I opted for a flush-mount light that has a wider base (say… 12″ or more), even though the current chandelier has about a 4″ base, will this work? Thank you.
It sounds to me like you should be able to either or both options you mentioned with little difficulty, Be sure to have the fan securely mounted if you plan to go that way, Doesn’t sound like any rewiring would be necessary.
