Help! Wanting to paint and seal canvas bag.?
I’m not sure what to use to paint besides basic acrylic paint. Are there some other sorts of paints or mediums I should apply to make painting easier? Or are pigma pens better, and if so, which ones?
What kind of media is good for waterproofing and sealing the bag so that the image won’t bleed and still be flexible?

Best way to waterproof canvas isn’t by painting it.
Waterproofing canvas is best done with a spray (or even applied with a brush) used to make tents water proof kinda like scotch guard. You can get it in most camping stores. There is also a rubber type sealant but it does not last very long on material that is moving a lot.
If you want to decorate the bag, do that first. Acrylics is your best choice. Ad fabric medium to your acrylic paint to improve the result (both durability and for easier painting)
If the bag is already treated with some water repelant you need to get rid of that by washing it or the paint will not stick at all.
Use the spray after and you have a waterproof bag… not watertight but it will withstand rain.
