Home Color Schemes: Pale Brown & White Walls… and…?
I want your opinion (not some website that thinks I’m remodelling). I’m moving into a brand new, modern studio apartment that has pale brown walls with White Trim. The brown swatch is here:

but I don’t have pictures of the place.
My question to you is this: What kind of decorative color scheme do you think would be cool in this room?
I was thinking:
cream, dark brown, sage green, accents of either grayish-pink or slate blue.
I’m pretty set on sage green… I think… maybe…
What do you think would be cool?
RE: bronte heights – Ooh… like a maroon or a dark rust color maybe? I’d have to go with a lighter green though… It’s a small space, so I don’t want to use too many dark colors…
The light brown looks like light tan [ caramel ] to me.
Use your neutrals for large items [ chairs, sofa, etc. ] and use light and bright colors for more ‘portable’ items – throw pillows, vase, ornaments, candles, artwork.
Suggest you go with the cream, dark brown, sage, and one bright [ not grayish ]:
rose
tomato red
burgundy [ not too dark ]
peach
orange
lemon
gold
aqua
turquoise
sky blue
slate blue
I would add brass or chrome metal, in all the space [ lamps, candlesticks, frames ] because it is also light and bright.
Add some live plants, and family photos.
