Installing a Ceiling Fan in an old house?
OK–installing a new ceiling fan. My husband took off the old fan (who knows how old really). There were three wires coming from the ceiling. The three wires are black, white and copper. The ceiling fan has 4 wires coming out of it. Black, blue, white and green. Green’s ground, right? Which wires are which and where do they go? All the expert advice and guidance is much appreciated. If you ask a question, I’ll add more details, so please check back quickly to give me extra advice! THANKS!
green to bare that’s the ground. white to white, that’s the neutral. on the fan black is the fan and blue is the light, both go to black in the ceiling if you have a standard switch.
