Should I use LED of flourescent light bulbs?
A lot of people have said flourescent light bulb’s are better than regular light bulbs. But however I heard about LED light bulbs today and a website said they were healthier for you than flourescent light bulbs (and better). They said flourescent light bulbs contain mercury and they have been linked to cancer. Is this true?
Fluorescents use about 20% of the electricity of normal Incandescent Light bulbs.
LEDs are even more efficient, and safer, but they are still new and a lot more expensive.
So, use LEDs if you need something ultra efficient or want to experiment with them, but stick to fluorescents for everyday use for now.
I have heard they contain mercury. I’ve never heard of them linked to cancer. The mercury is only a risk if the light bulb breaks. If you clear out of the area and let the vapor dissipate, the risk goes away. Or just don’t break them 
LEDs will be the future of lighting though.
