Why does my bathroom exhaust fan emit a funny odor?
I’m in the process of doing bathroom renovations, and need a proper fan to get rid of the chemical odors. However, after the fan’s run for a bit, the room starts to smell strange, like rust. Is there a way to clean or replace the fan easily? (I’m stupid when it comes to this stuff)
Sounds like something’s getting hot after the fan runs a bit -
either wire/motor insulation or motor bearings/bushings.
Best guess?
Motor prob – replacement/upgrade time again.
Last I checked, carbon monoxide was odorless…
